While the core idea of this version of DK is as cool as ever, the many, many limitation imposed by the F2P model (timers, energy, level limits) make this a slog.
Even if one spends money, the variety of gameplay is rather small and there's little of the lore and humor of the original game. Adding the limited interface of a mobile phone, the creation and editing of dungeons (or, rather, dungeon - you can only have one) is slow and rough.
