Preliminary: You know I always like an action platformer that has a dash feature (tho not sure why it had to be a shoulder button considering the main buttons are barely used) and fast-paced gameplay and an ability to fight back. It's got a good Look for 92 SNES too, with some real nice backgrounds so far. I don't necessarily love it so far and it may end up in that 1992 3 star trap, but we shall see. Maybe if some tunes or Look of levels get particularly good. World of Illusion with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck was not as good as I had hoped, too slow-moving even with the new spells I unlocked, so this is a nice fast-paced change of pace. Hard to move out of my FFV mindset and expectations tho! Haha
I didn't hate the mechanic of the Dizzy feeding "boss" type situation but it just took too many and got dull. I finished it but dried out the intiial dash/fast-paced excitement. And I also wish you could bounce off enemies one after another with the attack feature.
I keep debating whether to just give a 2 star and move on but the Western …

I keep debating whether to just give a 2 star and move on but the Western level's Look and background are real nice. And the interludes between levels are cute.
Yeaaa I might be burning out. And it's getting to the point that great backgroudn/Look probly shouldn't be enoguh for a 3 star... Maybe I'm being over-ready for the PS1 era cuz I still have a couple years to go before then! It's interesting how excited I was for the SNES but really the NES made a special change. But yea the excitement of beginning of 1992 arbitrary/honorary 3 stars really should be dying down (yet here I am returning to this the next day haha)
I almost gave up at the end of the the Western level's train segment. The moving screen mechanic was not well-done and I had to start all the way back at the beginning of the level from it.
Day 2
I really like the music of the Spook Mansion level. I'm not sure which, but it reminds me of one of the Final Fantasy or other JRPG dungeon tunes that I actually don't mind (usually not a fan of dungeon tunes). The Look is great too. I just wish the level design were a bit better, I'm not having a blast just sorta going through the motions. Still debating between a 2 and a 3 but seems like always with 92 it's gonna end up a 3 heh.
Bosses continue to require too many hits, they get dull after the same mechanic to get each scucessive hit. But I'm on to Stage 4 and I believe there are only 5 so. And it's nice that it's all been intuitive or solvable.
I really did not like Stage 4, it was a football game essentially. But at least I only had to do get one touchdown.... Still, ew. And now this last level is just a hodgepodge it's like they threw together a bunch of random ideas. A pinball game suddenly? I suppose a lot of this owes to Sonic indeed.
Eh I really didn't liek Stage 5 either. Why am I still playing and why do I plan to give it a 3. Lesson learned for future games that I'm meh about: just drop it and move on. At least the Look and colors are great... Can't stop now.... Turns out there are six stages ugh.
This last stage is full of that headache from NES platformers where it's unclear which platforms can be jumped on and which can't.
Wow and how rude, they call me out at the ending lol

Look: 8.5/10
Sound: 8/10
Play: 7.5/10 Some odd choices in level design
Feel: 7/10 It kept feeling like it was missing something despite the great Look and potential for the Play.

SNES exclusive entry in the Tiny Toon platformer series by Konami.

As in the Genesis game, the graphics look bright and wonderful, although I prefer the sligth difference in art style in the Genesis over this. The controls here, however aren't inertia driven, instead there is a speed burst, reminicient of Sparkster, which lets Buster even run up walls. It has a lot less levels and is shorter than the Genesis release, but each level has highly distinguished environments and level design aspects. In addition there is a number of mini games to gain lives in beween levels.
Disliked:
There's not much I didn't like about this game. The football stage is a bit weird and feels tedious to play, but the idea alone is still commendable, and on the first boss it took me a while to figure out what I was supposed to do.
Summary: It's really a great game, and the best of the 3 Tiny Toon games I've played so far. It feels more polished than any of the other releases, with a more varied gameplay, and each of the mechanics work well with the level designs. Highly recommended game, even if …
