You have come to the famous alchemist Hermetrix and been accepted as his apprentice. He has sent you to be tested in the Mysterium, a three-dimensional maze of hallways. You must combine metals and minerals in pools of mercury, water, fire and acid to create any item you need.

A game-y turing test?

Mysterium is a board game that depends on communication, association and conjecture. In it a "ghost" player tried to give clues to investigator players about a murder, or murders. It's unclear. It seems likely that it works in multiplayer (maybe even better than in person, because of the limited communication), but playing it in single player mode is plain bizarre, as one tries to give (or comprehend) vague hints based on selecting from a bunch of dream-scape cards (a-la Dixit) to a computer player.

There's also a strange disconnect for me between the aerly rounds and the last one either due to obscure mehanics, poor explanation or both.
