5/10 - Mediocre

enter image description here

FPS - Features three distinct campaigns, each focusing on a different Allied force: American, Canadian, and British.

PROS:

++ Generous lock-on. To compensate for slower aiming, this game gives the player a generous lock-on system when the enemies are at a certain range. This makes the game a tad bit easy, but turning it off would make the game much too tedious and needlessly difficult.

++ The COD experience. The game gives a decent portable experience of the early COD titles (COD 1). Decent gunplay, enough variety in objectives, and three campaigns (although they all felt the same).

CONS:

-- Controls. I understand that this title was designed for the PSP which only had one analog stick. But nevertheless, I disliked the fact that aiming was performed using the face buttons (x, triangle, circle, square).

-- Bugged objectives. There were four or five instances in which I would finish an objective but the game would fail to update and move forward. Usually, I would just have to wait 2-3 minutes more, but in one or two instances I had to kill myself and repeat that section.

-- Terrible squad-mate AI. Not only do they fail to kill anything, but they …

-- Lack of narrative.

-- Inconsistent hit boxes. Even when the reticule is right on an enemy, sometimes the shot doesn't register.

It’s alright for a handheld title
This review is for the PlayStation Portable version

For a handheld title this game is alright. The AI, controls and gameplay all kind of suck and the game is pretty same-y throughout but for a handheld title this is alright. The graphics are nice, the gameplay is fun if you don’t think about it too much and thanks to the PS Vita you can play the game using a second analog stick. Back in 2007 this was probably really cool.

This is only really a short game though, I finished it in one sitting.
