So Ariel (After explaining what's going on to Eric) becomes a mermaid once more and sets off to rescue the sea. Beat on slow motion mode without getting any upgrades or optional treasure. This game was absurdly short and easy but was very polished with incredible mechanics. Ariel felt very good to control, almost to the point of being like a shoot em up. She could even turn around, and the momentum and turning built in felt natural. Her little tail shots stunned enemies and put them into bubbles, reminding me of Bubble Bobble, and then they could be thrown in 8 directions. Bosses summoned adds and had to be defeated with these bubble shots This game was way ahead of most other shooters and platformers and I would love to play more using this engine. Preferably something way longer and significantly more challenging. Imagine something like Metroid or Zelda with these mechanics. But sadly I have to rate the game based on the low content and difficulty, not on what could have been.

7.3/10

Way too simple and short. Why put powerups if you can easily beat the game without them?

Music, graphics and controls are decent.
