I haven't played any Korean solo RPGs before (at least not that I can think of), so I decided to take a dive! Korea has quite a swath of MMOs, but there was a time when "packages" were the hot ticket. Magna Carta was one of those, a very important one, it looks, so it was imperative I give it a look.

The first thing you will notice when opening up the game is how stylish the art direction is. Sure, everything is a bit blocky, but it's from 2001 for chrissakes and the actual designs are really fun. The UI is a slick, stylish orange which gives it a confident flair. This shit rules...The second thing you will notice is the length of the cutscenes. These things go on foreeeeeveeeer. Right of the bat you're gonna be slogging through back-to-back 20 minute story scenes filled with only the sassiest of dialogue (for reals, everyone here acts like they're ready to have a cat fight in the girl's locker room) so make sure you bring a snack for the ride! There's a lot being set up, though, so I can't wait to be surprised.
