Players encounter crows, rats, raindrops and more, all of which aim to hinder Ivy's progress. But every story's hero finds a way, and Ivy soon finds an ally in the unlikeliest of places-the strange vines that erupt forth to guide, protect and propel her on her way. Ivy the Kiwi is adorable. Waddling forward in their little half-shell, you help them overcome obstacles by drawing vines with the stylus (or other input method, depending on the version). I am glad I picked up the DS release, as the stylus controls felt precise and responsive. I found the game compulsively playable. Once I finished all 50 levels I immediately began playing the bonus levels. If you are a completionist there are 10 feathers per level to collect. Even when the difficulty spikes I found this game incredibly charming and enjoyable. It isn't too punishing; every death was my own fault. I can't blame Ivy. They're just a baby.
