Achaea was the most fulfilling multiplayer experience I've ever had in a game. It felt like the players truly controlled the world and the mix of world events with player generated drama/war was unmatched.
I've been "chasing this dragon" ever since. What active games exist out there where the worlds truly feel alive with player driven and managed worlds and stories?
EVE is the obvious answer, but I never got it to click for me. I think it is the closest I've seen to what I experienced in Achaea.
