I rented this in the 90s and forgot everything about it except its existence. TNG was one of my favorite shows growing up and the idea of playing out an episode and tactically choosing who to send on missions really appealed to me. Unfortunately the game was better forgotten. I got game over very quickly as I was forced into an endless loop of ship battles. I eventually figured out that you have to stop the ship and perform repairs, and not travel so slowly as to give enemies time to keep attacking. For away missions I used Data, Worf, Riker and whoever else fit the best; Crusher for healing, Geordi for tech. Not sure if I used anyone else.

I did manage to beat the game by using a walkthrough and some kind of cheat but the only reason I stomached the game for that long was because I am such a fan of the show. Literally the only redeeming feature of the game, and only part that was at all fun, was reading the computer lore entries. One of the worst games I have ever played.
