Underrated PS3 Gem with So Much Charm
This review is for the PlayStation 3 version

I had so much fun playing this game. It is incredibly charming particularly in the presentation and even the story and characters. I love how the game is uniquely presented as like a play! And the background pieces and everything move as if they were transition parts on a stage. The characters are all very fun, unique and interesting.

The game does have a tiny bit of seriousness to it, but the story mostly doesn't take it itself too seriously and is just fun, and charming to play. I did hope for a bit of a more emotional ending, but that's like again, not the sole focus of the game. The music also was great and fitting for all different levels and parts. I liked that each stage had a different theme and never overstayed its welcome.

The game in some ways reminded me a bit of Little Big Planet's story mode, but with pretty great voice acting! A minor gripe is the quick-time events, but the gameplay otherwise was pretty fun. and I like that the game does introduce a couple of new mechanics as you go along, but isn't too difficult to pick up quickly.

Overall, highly recommend, especially if you like fun platformers, and if you like theatre because of its presentation! Definitely if you liked LittleBigPlanet for instance, I think you'ld like this as well.

I think this deserves 3.5, its pretty good but
This review is for the PlayStation 3 version

I hate quick time events. The game is quite fun though, there are some areas that are a bit of a drag but overall I would say fun. The graphics are pretty impressive for ps3 too.

I did like the way pikarina said Kutaro, that was cool.

Rara joya

Este juego es una rara joya. Un juego de plataformas que se ambienta en los cuentos de hadas, y que, al mismo tiempo, se desarrolla en una estética que imita el teatro. Un juego bastante entretenido, cuya temática misma ya vale en sí misma la pena.

Just finished the first two "Curtains" of Act 5. So much charm, and perfect timing^ as these in particular are very halloween themed, as halloween is just around the corner ^^

Thinking about JapanStudio and everything going on at Sony brings me to this game, a game I don't think did particularly well, but that I love for taking artistic risks. It's a game that I wish more people could, at the very least, experience but it's sadly locked away on PS3, soon unavailable due to the store shutdown later this year, or available on PSNow via streaming, an iffy gaming experience for many. Part of me loves the PS3 for what the hardware enabled, but part of me laments that there's no easy way to emulate PS3 games on modern consoles as a result.
