Ilamentia is kind of like a 3D/first-person version of Case's other game, Straima. In both games you have to "kill" objects in a map (blobs/soul) and neither bothers explaining this to you. Both games have a distinct style, but while the weirdness works in 2D it doesn't in 3D. It just looks like a crappy version of heaven from a 90s B-movie.

I played it for a bit and i just don't care for it. The environment makes the worse, as does the style. If you give people an objective (kill X), don't make it too vague to determine if X is actually dead. There's also too much trial and error and nonsense like a puzzle where the solution isn't in the level. The "hints" button is fairly useless too.

A few people will love this game, the remaining 95+% will get stuck after 10 minutes, shrug and movie on to something less aggressively player-unfriendly.
