I'm on the fence about the combat... I just wish there were more tooltips or helpful guides since I've never seen this style before at all. I'm on the fence about the combat... I just wish there were more tooltips or helpful guides since I've never seen this style before at all. Characters get status affects that are symbols but you can't like, tap the symbols to explain what they are. And you have items that you can use as attacks, and instead of helpful information about what exactly it does (there was 0% indication that 'Yellow Button' was a speed boost whereas 'Topaz Button' was an AOE lmao), you get cutesy tooltips about how "This is Brigette's favorite accessory!" or "It's a Stitch's button, a literal belly button hehe!" THANKS BUT WHAT DOES IT DOOOO. lmao.
If I liked the story more, I'd probably be willing to work through it, but...... this one has a lot more fan service than I'm used to from those kinds of games. It plays out more like a harem anime about a guy with like 9 magical girls who are all obsessed with him/vaguely subservient to him.... They call him master and he has a bracelet that literally powers their life force since they have no souls, and when he makes them feel special, a light appears on their chest and they physically become stronger, so like... idk, man. it's a tad creepy.
I might stick with it just a little bit longer to see if I can get a handle on this combat..... otherwise I'm probably out.
