I finally played this, I remember that it was fan translated to my native language and I've heard about this from a group of friends, I played a bit as a joke but never finished it. I never realised that the dog died in a fire LOL
Now I feel the this game is about an 'era' that doesn't exist any more, since it references a lot of things that were popular then, I also felt a bit old playing this lol
