You actually need to able to race for this one
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

Like the description says, the one emulated the 2003 and 2004 FIA GT championships. The developers had full access to all telemetry of all teams and all cars. The result is that this is still one of the best sims out there.

Look: 8/10 Looking at it now doesn't offer anything special but back then, it was mind blowing.

Play: 10/10 Being a Racesim, this is not something like Codemasters F1 of NeedForSpeed which gives you the impression that you're fast but with GTR2, you actually need to be fast. I remember that when I started GTR2, it took me several hours to actually finish a lap at Hockenheim with the BMW M3 GT2.

Feel: 10/10 Back then, this was the closest a Race Sim could get to the real thing. Force Feedback is great, car behavior is great, you get good feedback when you over- or understeering. Realistic weather was present with rain, drying track etc etc.

Attachment: 10/10 Well, I can't get higher then 10. I did a lot of championships and races with GTR2. It was also fully customizable, with custom livery, custom cars and custom tracks. If you want an impression, here's one of the Race …

Can't get youtube videos embedded

Somehow embedding doesn't work here but here's the link to the video

GTR2 short review
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

It's a great racing game, what else can I say? Incredibly accessible with additional mouse steering capabilities and a perfect emulation of the massive amount of adrenaline that comes with endurance racing. I did a 12 hour endurance race over a week and it was quite fun(provided I used CrewChief for a better AI experience). In addition, there are many fantastic mods and the incomparable 1960s power&glory total expansion mod. It's everything you need in a racing game and a lot more. The only game I could compare it with is Assetto Corsa: Competizione, which I desperately need to review.

Have a nice day :) !

Score: 90/100

(P.S. this is an updated review from my backloggd)
