Main game

I had to check two separate times to see if Garden Paws was in Early Access.
It's been awhile since I've played a game this blatantly unfinished. The UI, the dialogue, the "story", the bugs, the performance, the gameplay. None of it feels finished.
Let me give an example: I went fishing on the 2nd day and very first fish I caught was called "Fish". No description, no species, nothing. Just "Fish". The second fish I caught was called "Small Fish"
Another example: early on there's a quest from another farmer saying he was running low on poop and needed some more. I looked over at his barn and realized he already had poop laying around, so I tried to pick it up... and the game let me. I picked up all the poop and completed the quest by delivering the guy his own poop.
Even if things were finished I'm not sure they have a well designed game here. Everything is loose and sloppy. There are no real goals - long term or short term - so most of your time is spent wandering around trying to make sense of the nonsensical world you've found yourself in.

I'm not afraid of Early Access games, but this is game is claiming to be finished and is sitting at a $20 price tag. That's ridiculous. To be fair, the devs do release frequent updates, but they rarely put out patch notes and the game is still in very, very rough shape.
Absolutely avoid for now, and do lots and lots of research if you're considering it in the future.
This game has a lot of charm to it and just as much jank.
