I was hopeful about Ice Nine since it comes with the pedigree of Doom II's sublime GBA port, but this one shoot too high and lands in a dumpster. The framerate is horrible, the mechanics poorly explained, and the resolution is simply too low to effectively differentiate targets. As a straightforward FPS, Ice Nine would at least be playable - but stalking people and avoiding civilians? On the Game Boy Advance? With terrible latency? No. Gods no.

Ice Nine is an ambitious abomination. I'll admit that finally piecing together the mission was satisfying, mainly because I'd failed so many times, but this still gets a strong avoid from me. Even if you're looking at the most technically impressive GBA games, Ice Nine doesn't rate that high. Disappointing. At least it's not password saved.

Shout out to the one other person on Grouvee who has this in their collection. :p Not often I see physically released titles on here with only 1 owner.
