The thesis of The Magic Circle is "video games are harder to make than you think." You play as some kind of entity that is playing through an unfinished game while the developers argue around you, unable to make decisions. Past failures, deadlines, and bruised egos fly around as the devs talk. The story is pretty clunky, and the acting can be dubious at times, but overall this is an enojyable and short experience. With some unique gameplay mechanics, like collecting enemies which you hack into to alter and have fight beside you because you have no combat skills, this slightly hamfisted romp trough the pains of shipping a video game ends up pretty enjoyable.
I'm just going to say that i love games like this that have that "this is different, in a good way" feeling. When you've played hundreds of titles and keep playing you need something refreshing every once in a while. I also feel obliged to mention that you won't enjoy this game very much unless you're an avid gamer, although if you are registered in this website chances are you are one.
