I'm not really interested in playing the entire 14-15 hours of this right now, but I've been playing it a bit lately after finishing Vanquish and enjoying the combat system and moveset customization. The cutscenes are also dumb in a very funny sort of way, even more than Resident Evil 4. I tried this a couple years ago and just didn't really get it, but with a little more investment into understanding what it wants you to do it's fun. There is awkwardness with the camera but yeah, good game, not really in the mood to invest fully in it, but maybe one day I'd come back and finish it.

Beat the first boss

Beat the first boss

FUCK YES! This shit right here is a fuckin' video game. I'd say this is the Chad God Hand vs the Virgin God of War (2018) right here. You got a vast moveset that I actually care about looking deep into since it could lead to sweeps, stuns, distancing enemies that have their strengths/weaknesses based on damage and speed. You don't need to spam the same thing over and over since enemy compositions vary in placement and variety. It's got such a fast pace. Even when the enemy health bar is empty, you're incentivized to keep going at them since it increases the dynamic difficulty. The harder the game, the better the rewards. The camera isn't to closed in and pans when attacking enemies, giving a better view of the fight while also providing a minimap.

Do take note that for as over the top as it is, some of the humor is of its time. So far, the first boss is a duo of gay stereotypes, and in the level after that, if you look at a spicy magazine, your God Hand meter fills up, so if you're going to play God Hand, keep in mind.

Ate my face in from the word go. At first I thought it was easy with the first two enemies, but as soon as the big guy shows up, immediately had to adjust hard to the controls and figuring out how to set shit up. And at that point, was absolutely invested. This game is so, so, so much fun. Combos are insanely customizable and the game really asks you to be on your dodge game... which also shows how bad I am (I don't even know how many times I've died already up to the first boss). I love and hate the dynamic difficulty. I understand the game getting easier when I suck so I enter the flow state easier, but I also find the game less fun at Lv 1 than I do Lv 2. I have yet to even touch 3 or DIE though lol

Absolutely cheesed the first boss as much as I could, if you could even call it cheesed because I still died 35 times, it is a HUGE step up in difficulty. Just quick on roulettes and god hand, trying to get them stuck in a corner as they acrobat jump all over my ass and make me eat the ground. I love this game.

I said that PN03 made me want to play God Hand instead. So I did. Still the GOAT action game, even if that flying rock midget fight can go fuck itself. I said that PN03 made me want to play God Hand instead. So I did. Still the GOAT action game, even if that flying rock midget fight can go fuck itself. No matter how tilting some of the more out-there fights get, this game just feels right in a way that no other action game ever has. No game ever has, and at this point never will, ever truly succeed it - yes, I've tried Absolver, yes, I've tried Remember Me, neither of them are remotely on this game's level. Still the best.
