Congratulations, comrade! You are a pilot now.
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

A short VR game that was given out on Steam once. It places you in a cold war-era Soviet shuttle, which just undocked from the space station without the right pilot. It's up to the player to follow the instructions from the comrades to safely return to earth.

Never before in my early VR phase has such a game made me both laugh and yet feel a tad bit uneasy. The shuttle controls that are laid out in front of me is numerous and can be daunting for new players, not least for those that don't know Russian. Fortunately, all the important controls have the English translation stuck next to them and the radio communication will give you instructions follow the right sequence and solutions. The interface will highlight the controls when you're about to use them for the first time, so that's an appreciated help. The outcome of your actions will depend on your control accuracy, timing and attention to some details (ie. regulating O2 values). Despite working in a delicate and relatively complex environment, the humor from hearing your colleagues reacting to different situations (along with mock Russian accents) got me snickering and lightens the mood.

Despite the balances in mood and steep learning curve that evens out further, I stumbled upon some control bug that prevents me from grabbing onto vital objects and left me fumbling around during the landing phase (I'm playing on Oculus Quest). Completionists should note that the achievement system is broken and will be left unfulfilled after finishing the game.

Nevertheless, it's a fun and educational experience that took me roughly an hour to see myself to one of the branched goals. 5€ value is just good enough for you to act as a shuttle pilot but if you're still on the fence, wait for the sale or another giveaway.
