DND is the seminal mainframe classic, which started computer role-playing games. The name of the game clearly comes from the Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) pen and paper role playing systems, and it uses D&D rules. Further inspired by Pedit5, the game itself is a classic dungeon crawl. It could be counted as a "rogue-like" but doesn't have random dungeons.

And I know this is vaguely hinted at in the description, but this is (at least online) known as (presumably) the first widely-accessible computer game with a boss/final boss.

RIP. I was so close to being ready for the Dragon. Definitely will be returning to this. I forgot to stash my gold, took one step, and RIP. Sad. this game is amazing. so addicting. if you arent huge into dungeon/RPGs, but wanted to try early PLATO RPG games, this is probly the one to go with! seems the most developed so far (havent tried orthanc or avatar yet tho)
