Final Fight 2, for SNES
Rating: 6.5/10; Above Average
Very similar to the original Final Fight. I found what little story there is to be confusing with all the new characters introduced that were not in the original. Who is this Guy? Who is this Carlos? Why the hell is Carlos one of the playable characters and not Guy, who actually has a personal reason to fight in this story? Where is Cody from the first game? Having 3 playable characters now is a good improvement.
The game plays exactly the same as the original. The same simplistic controls, without functions mapped to many of the buttons. Still no block or dodge, though I fought hit detection for enemies on different planes to be improved. Still a short game, and it seems like there are even fewer weapons. 2 player mode is a huge plus though, as this is the kind of game you want to play co-op. I did notice that enemies cannot lock you into a multi hit combo, though I am not sure if that was because I played on normal. Bosses have better variety and seem to be a little less cheap.

Final Fight 2 is a 1993 progressive fighting game.Capcom, the producer and distributor of the game, did a great job.The story of the game is as follows.This is Crazy Gear Madness! They are stronger than ever and they want revenge. They plan to dominate the whole world with a new mysterious leader. This time they kidnapped Genryusai and his daughter Rena. Now Haggar must travel the world in search of Genryusai and Rena. But he's not going alone. Carlos and Rena's sister Maki join slam-fest to eliminate the gang forever. Look for a lot of weapons such as knives, night sticks and 2x4s or find food to restore your strength. Choose from Haggar, Carlos or Maki, each with their own fighting style. Or let a friend double the power and crush every tramp who gets in your way.The gameplay is as follows.in this game consisting of 6 sections, you are trying to kill the enemies and cross the section.The music of the game is beautiful.If you are not too obsessed with graphics and you like retro games, this game is for you.My rating for the game: 10/10 (y) Good games to everyone 🙂
No idea if I played this as a kid or not. Beat on normal (forgot to change difficulty) as Haggar. I was tempted to play as the girl because she is hot, though I did not like her moveset. I went back to good old Haggar because I was used to playing him, having just finished Final Fight 1 literally minutes prior.
Seems more difficult than the first with more levels. Nice choice of three playable characters, two of which are brand new to the series. Traveling all over the world is fun, bosses are tough, spinning pile driver courtesy of Haggar is a nice touch. Overall I like it. Could use some more health powerups but extra lives are plentiful along with continues.
Box art with the flexing double boot stomp is just the perfect level of manly attitude.
