I think I like Far from Noise more in premise than in execution. The concept is certainly creative and unique, the writing is excellent, the stylized visuals serve the story well, and it's short enough not to overstay its welcome. But the moments it chooses to linger on feel a tad unearned to me in comparison to games like Everything and A Short Hike, which earn their emotional moments through contrasting environments and perspective.
To be clear, I think that focus on a single scenario is what makes the game special, but it's also what kept it from affecting me more deeply.

A narrative game where you're stuck in a car balanced on the edge of a cliff, talking to yourself. It's one of those games I thought I'd really enjoy, but found myself disappointed. While there's clearly a lot of effort put into this, and judging by the comments on itchio it really nailed it for a lot of people, I personally found it unrelentingly, unbearably boring. After a half hour I couldn't take it anymore and quit. Good thing I did because apparently a playthrough takes an hour or more and I think I would have actually lost it trying to keep going for that long. I don't know man, it was just wayy too "artsy" for me to handle, it felt a bit like it was trying too hard and wanted you to come to a certain specific conclusion rather than interpreting it yourself.
A little undiscovered diamond. Everyone I know that played this gem, discovered it afterwards with their therapist. It sticks with you. It makes you contemplate. Great game, unique, emotional and replayable.
