I know it's never going to happen, but I'll just throw it out there. Sega, ya gotta give Sonic Shuffle a second chance one day! Okay, so it wasn't a very good Mario Party clone game, but it had some ideas I really liked. Having you use cards instead of dice actually makes the board game element much more interesting IMO -- it really adds a bit of strategy to each turn. On the Dreamcast, you could all keep your cards secret if everyone had a VMU screen for their controller, which was really cool (and easily one of the best implementations of that feature). This could easily be done in a modern console game via a supporting cell phone app or site of some kind (Jack Box style). The ability to steal cards from your opponents was also very clever, and made for some really amusing moments that could turn the tide in a game.
Oh, and while there were "bonus stars" (called emblems) in Sonic Shuffle, they at least weren't randomized. It was always the same three or so things each time (most rings, most duel wins, etc). I greatly prefer that, over the BS pity stars that Mario Party tends to throw out at the end, lol.
Mainly though I just want a solid Mario Party with cards, I guess. Sonic Shuffle had that excellent improvement in its foundation, but tripped over all the other details. (Way too many battles, not enough mini-games, the "events" were a waste of time, really long loading times for everything, character-specific abilities were not balanced at all, boards were way too big, etc.)
