I think critics at the time were a bit too hard on this one. To be fair, it doesn’t make the strongest first impression: The first act is by far the most dull and repetitive. But over the course of its (admittedly short) 5–6 hour campaign, it gradually introduces more variety and depth to its scenarios and combat. I also enjoyed its boss battles, the surprising variety of collectibles and the fact that Chris Evans sounds like he actually cared in the vocal booth.

It’s extremely derivative of Arkham Asylum, the frame rate is choppy and the rest of the vocal performances are pretty shaky. But if you dig single-player superhero games, you could do a lot worse than this.
