I think critics at the time were a bit too hard on this one. To be fair, it doesn’t make the strongest first impression: The first act is by far the most dull and repetitive. I think critics at the time were a bit too hard on this one. To be fair, it doesn’t make the strongest first impression: The first act is by far the most dull and repetitive. But over the course of its (admittedly short) 5–6 hour campaign, it gradually introduces more variety and depth to its scenarios and combat. I also enjoyed its boss battles, the surprising variety of collectibles and the fact that Chris Evans sounds like he actually cared in the vocal booth.

It’s extremely derivative of Arkham Asylum, the frame rate is choppy and the rest of the vocal performances are pretty shaky. But if you dig single-player superhero games, you could do a lot worse than this.

This is basically Arkham lite, with Captain America, and that's not a bad thing. The story isn't as immersive, but if you're looking for a fun game that has great fighting, solid graphics, and some really neat bosses that really would fit in to the MCU, then play this game. I finished it in two sittings, so its not that long, but if you like super heroes, its worth a play.
