One of those games where when you die you know it's because you made a mistake not because the game is unfair. Takes the Souls-like loop and distills it down much like it's graphics into something tight and minimal but manages to retain a lot of the depth. Combat feels good and lets you pick the level of weighty you prefer from the start with Sword/Dagger primary, and exploration is rewarding, there's secrets to find and the promise of something new and exciting to use around every corner.
It works well with Mouse + Keyboard, though I didn't notice that you can disable auto-lock and show the mouse cursor which makes it more of a Twin-Stick shooter (which I like) and makes placing throwables much more pleasant.
My only real complaint is that enemy attacks have a really weird, to me, timing that together with the parry triggering on release makes it feel extremely floaty and imprecise (but it's ok because Throwing Daggers are great too)
