Temple Run is an "endless running" video game developed by the Raleigh-based Imangi Studios. The player takes on the role of an explorer who, having stolen an idol from a temple, is chased by "demonic monkeys". The game is available on iOS and Android systems. It was released for Windows Phone 8 towards the end of March, 2013.

Game Beat/Played #4- I have been going back and playing old IOS games starting with temple run! its pretty basic compared to most runners now but Nostalgia saved it for me

It started the trend of "running games".

A below-par runner brought up to par by its somewhat unique and well functioning control scheme. At its core, Temple Run doesn't really do anything beyond that to stand out in any way, but it's a more or less serviceable time waster.
