I'm sure when this game was remastered it was good and I'm certain when it was released it was great. But now, with the 2020s brainrot caused by social media overconsumption that was forced onto us for 2+ years from COVID lockdowns, this classic feels like a chore. I straight up no longer have the attention span required to remain engaged with big giant bulky slow ships crawling towards the enemy at a snail's pace. Its a shame, it feels like the human species has devolved in the last few years as we lost our inability to enjoy the simple pleasure of stopping to smell the flowers.

It's really upsetting because I know had I played this in 2019 I would've loved it, and my inability to do so is through no fault of the game nor through any fault of my own, just a result of the life that was thrust upon me.
