A solid card game with fun twists

Honestly, I was surprised to see the negative reviews of this game!

As a card game fan, I had to try it nonetheless and was pleasantly surprised.

I played it on Switch and finished it after 9 hours. I was just looking for a small game to pass the time while I’m waiting for the November releases, so I decided to try out this indie game.

I was very surprised by the intricacies of the mechanics. It’s a card game where you choose a class (Knight, Rogue, Mage) and then variants of a deck. You keep unlocking new cards with every successful run. The card variety was very big for such a small game, and it turned every run into an interesting adventure.

You can up the difficulty of each run, but after finishing one run with each character, I felt like I’ve seen most of the things the game has to offer. Unfortunately, the bosses are always the same for all characters - I wish they had more random set ups, especially the last boss should have been different from class to class.

But for the price of this game, the content was top notch. I would highly suggest that card game fans try this out - I feel like it does need some knowledge of deckbuilding in order to be appreciated more.

This game is also available on PlayStation 4. I own a copy on PS4 as well but there is no option to add it to my games on that platform.
