Look: 6/10 I honestly didn't even really notice the graphics except a lot of eyes theme heh. Oh, and space of course. Surprise surprise.
Play: 7/10 I can't claim it's my favorite genre in general, but to boot, I'm not a big fan of multiple trigger buttons (different buttons let you shoot in different directions). I know this is those couple years where arcade and other games were figuring out the best way to overcome the Berserk, etc.-issue of having to be facing/walking in the direction of the joystick, and therefore also shooting that way. Yada yada, I blabbered on about that with some of the early dual joystick shooters. This game's technique of solving the problem, by having different actual buttons correspond to different directions, ain't a bad one, but you know I'm never a fan of more buttons to memorize heh. Overall, the controls and mechanics were well-done, but I did notice some clunky collision masks near objects and especially along the edges of the screen.
Feel: 8/10 Lol I' d have to say, "sir, I don't think those are meteors: they're shooting at us." But anyway, wow another multi-stage arcade shoot em up, well missions in this …

Feel: 8/10 Lol I' d have to say, "sir, I don't think those are meteors: they're shooting at us." But anyway, wow another multi-stage arcade shoot em up, well missions in this case. This one manages to be unique enough to stand out, and I had a blast playing it for a bit. What's especially exciting is the feeling of a "final boss."
Attachment: 7/10 This is definitely one of the "better than the rest" arcade space shooters because it stands out with its concept, different mission gameplays, and final boss feel. I'm excited to give a proper try to the horizontally scrolling platform/shoot em ups for the mid-80s consoles. That's a genre I never fully got into, tho i had some old favorite back in the day. I'm feeling more and more ready (and excited) for them! I knew this chronology project would help me reapproach games and genres I've tried but never clicked with. The early and classic arcade era is starting to end, it seems, in my chronology as I approach the videogame crash of '83.
