Shop Titans is exactly what you expect it to be - a "free to play" game that abuses evolutionary psychology and the like to trick people into keep "playing" it. And it is really good at it. We've come a far way from the days of Oblivion's horse armor. They've got this down to an art now. …

Cutesy characters, easy "gameplay" that's just clicking a bit, a quick start followed by rapidly diminishing returns, timers, all kinds of ways to spend money (gems, packs, passes), et cetera. The absolute master stroke is having items (what the game is all about) suddenly break during combat only to reveal you need gems or a subscription (€10 a month!) to be able to fix them.
Seriously, this shit is so predatory it should be outlawed. It's so easy for someone (like me) to get sucked into trash like Fallout Shelter, Moonlighter or this game.
