Solid, modern, meat and potatoes Metroidvania

Biomorph is a very large game that packs a ton in. In checks every modern Metroidvania box- abilities, badges, secrets, lots of biomes, solid boss fights? etc etc. But it also incorporates enemy morphing (thus the namesake), quests, and a very polished art style.

Biomorph is a very large game that packs a ton in. In checks every modern Metroidvania box- abilities, badges, secrets, lots of biomes, solid boss fights? etc etc. But it also incorporates enemy morphing (thus the namesake), quests, and a very polished art style.

I liked it a lot, but I wouldn’t say it skyrocketed to an absolute favorite. The platforming felt a bit easy and underwhelming. It doesn’t a very strong atmosphere or unique identity. Sometimes, the game could drag.

But I still wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. It clearly had a ton of effort and love put into it, and altogether is an impressive package. I would put it right at the B- tier for me!
