Unfortunately this game was overhyped for me and I was expecting more, which is why my rating for this is average. I'm also probably unfairly comparing this to a game like Stardew Valley.
I don't mind that the story line/"goal" was short, but other than unlocking a few special cats and decorating the café, there's not much to strive for. Even with the characters, the maximum friendship level you can reach with them is 5, and again it doesn't take that long. It would be more rewarding if there were more in that aspect. There's a mechanic where you can find the cats forever homes, and while it's true you get points for it, you can go through the game without needing to do this at all. Really it's there so you can rotate between cats to "upgrade" or switch them up to your liking.
The game mechanics itself are interesting! It's a blend of resource management and something akin to "Diner Dash" as you run around and serve customers. There's a little sprinkle of RPG but it's very tiny. Overall I enjoyed the experience playing it on the switch, though for me it was quite buggy - it even …

That's just a personal experience.
I definitely want to leave this review on a high note, because it's a sweet little game and I was SO into it when I started. The cat and character designs are neat, the concept and resource management is solid, and you can continue to play and build your café even after the main story line. I am glad I played it. I'll probably pick it up once in a while just to build the café for the sake of creating something cute and to see how far I can push the game.
