An Insomniac Games debut
This review is for the PlayStation version

As a great insomniac games fan I promised myself to play every game of theirs. No better place to start than the first game developed by them in 1996. On the first sight "Disruptor" is just an another doom clone from the 90's era and in a large extend it really is, but I still think it's worth your time, here is why. Besides being a regular doom clone "Disruptor" has an original approach to the gameplay. Aside from using weapons to kill enemies, You will also have to use psychic powers wich works like some kind of magic spells, but in a sci-fi setting. So if you don't mind playing an FPS game on the controller without analog sticks I recommend you to try this thing out. But I warn you, in some moments the game gets really hard …

But I warn you, in some moments the game gets really hard and it can be frustrating sometimes. Oh and I should say something about the live-action video clips in between the missions. They are hilarious, and are the embodiment of a typical B-movie experience.
