Our school computers were blocked from having games installed on to them, so web-based puzzlers were very popular to hide in tabs, games like Bejeweled, Zuma, Luxor..the list goes on. You know what kind I'm talking about! Sparkle was another one of these...and now it's been Unleashed on modern platforms. I love playing these types of games in the morning, even if some stages become quite hectic, but the music, art and level design as well as the pace of the gameplay is simple, but well crafted. There's lots of levels, several game modes and difficulties to try out in Unleashed, which I recommend you do if you enjoy games like this.

Marble Smooth Gameplay
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

I love match-3 puzzle games. Sparkle Unleashed uses this game mechanic but adds high-speed marbles into the mix. There's a storyline but it's very simple and the solution is marbles, obviously. I've completed the campaign which unlocks hard mode so I'll probably run through it again at some point. There's also challenge modes to complete as well. The biggest negative is the repetitive level designs.

I recommend this game to those who love match-3 puzzles, no thoughts head empty gameplay, and a simple retro experience.
