Just did a quick replay of this absolute gem (shortly after replay selewi’s most recent game The Fear Business). It is still just as well made, charming, and enchanting as I remember. It only take an hour or two to finish, but it’s PURE survival horror GOLD.
And that’s saying alot for me, given that 1) I don’t love stalker enemies 2) there is no map. Both of which are often deal breakers for me… but no, this game is pure gold. The atmosphere, puzzles, exploration, voice acting, and the pure 70’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibe is absolutely phenomenal. I love it just as much as The Fear Business (except that one is 5x the length and has a map). But I highly recommend every survival horror fan play through the 3 selewi games in order of release - they are all great, but each one gets better than the last.
Anyways, still love this game and I’m going to go ahead and bump it up to 5 stars despite the short length and lack of map.

Cannibal Abduction is the 2nd release from selewi, and is pretty much a full improvement on The Night of the Scissors. You are abducted by a redneck family, much like Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The cutscenes are amazingly b-movie. And you must solve puzzles and escape while hiding from a psychopath.
The puzzles are much stronger here, and the environment and level design are also better executed. I don’t love hide and seek horror gameplay, but it works fine enough here for me to enjoy it.
But ya, just solidly executed and much like Resident Evil 7, I have a soft spot for backwoods country horror type settings.
