This is an open world QWOP. Sort of. You play an old person and you have to clumsily do things with the wonky physics dialed to 11 - also roughly the target age. If you're a 30 year old streamer who pretends to be an annoying kid (i.e. Pewdiepie), this is the game for you. Otherwise, there's just not a lot to it and the overly rubbery feel kills any interest you might have. You can't even properly murder people, what's the point? (you can kill them, but it takes forever)
Like many, many other mini-Indie games I played, Just Die Already is yet another one that you play with some friends for a few sessions on a Saturday evening and then discard into the deepest pits of your Steam Library.
In this mess of a game, you play as old people who are just kicked out of their retirement home.
You can play different game modes in which you either work together to escape the prison that the young folks locked you in (for your own safety) or destroying everything in a map, while everything else can break you.
You can pick up items, weapons, electrocute yourself and others, set stuff on fire and wreak havoc on the sandbox maps. Almost every item can be interacted with and some of them give some unexpected results.
Graphicly, this game looks blend and boring. It used the traditional cartoon cell shading visuals which are nothing special. The animations and ragdoll work fine and surprisingly; the clipping is not that much of an issue.
The sound and music are terrible but for a game like this, it doesn't bother me.

The controls are stiff, unresponsive and purposely bad. You just need to adapt to the cr@pfactor and keep on playing. Eventually you will get the hang of it.
It is hilarious to see your character tumbling down the stairs, lose both legs and arms and just keep jumping on your torso.
There is also a PVP mode in which teams shoot the living sh!t out of each other while collecting weapons and upgrades. This mode is the most fun but also the most unbalanced. When a player collects two upgrades and a rocket launcher, they are almost invincible. Of course, skill plays a big role in this game, but it just feels a little cheap and unfair at times when you respawn, collect a pistol and get blasted with fire two seconds later.
In the end, Just Die Already goes on the list of my one-time party games that I tried, enjoyed for a while, but of which I am not sure that I will ever play it again. Like many other of these types of games, I bought it on sale.
The only reason I would not recommend this game, is its high price. It is almost 14 euro's and for the content of the game, that is kind of embarrassing.
