I really enjoyed this game. Even though you can clearly see that the (single) developer had to set priorities and as a result certain aspects fell short. I really enjoyed this game. Even though you can clearly see that the (single) developer had to set priorities and as a result certain aspects fell short. Especially the NPCs are very ugly and don't even move their mouths while talking but I think it's easier to overlook since the whole game doesn't take itself too seriously. Although this is technically a horror game and hearing Charles appear in the vicinity is quite nerve-wrecking, at the latest during the pickle mission the ridiculousness will be clear. I had a blast during my short playtime of 4.6 hours (100%) and wished there was even more to do.

Is it a good game? Debateable. I mean the NPC's have voices but no lip sync, and the game is maybe 5 hours long if that, and it's a pretty bare bones open world, but on the whole, the core of it, running away and fighting a spider monster train? Perfection. Games like this are what I want to be true open world adventure titles. Not more Ubisoft collect-em-all nonsense.

All in all, pretty damn enjoyable little game.

Addendum: I'm autistic and love trains and horror, so maybe I'm biased.

Since this finally dropped on console, I'm debating getting this for myself as I'll be hiding all alone tomorrow and sleeping most of the day, but I don't really wanna justify spending 20 dollars on myself. Then again, not gonna get any gifts from anyone else, so, maybe the yelling is worth it.
