Thinking about the fact that I played this on both Switch and Switch 2 and it ran better on Switch than it did on the newer console, which is amusing. Maybe the Switch 2 was a costly mistake 🤷🏽

(Costly to me, clearly not to Nintendo. I'm sure they are laughing all the way to the bank)

The music is as great as it ever was, the best FF score Square ever put to paper. Wonderful stuff.

Side note: it’s ludicrous that IGDB lists the deluxe edition as a separate game entry. It’s literally the same game. Gamers need to stop treating games as products first, media second. Imagine if Letterboxed included an entry for every edition …

Imagine if Letterboxed included an entry for every edition of a film published for home consumption. It would be a nightmare. I increasingly question IGDB’s approach to data organization. I know they are the only game in town now, I just wish they were more thoughtful about things like this.

I’m not too sure why I bought this. I’ve tried every version of this game, and have fallen off every time. There’s just so many people that speak so highly of it that I just keep trying.
