I'm very much not the target audience for anything roguelike/roguelite, generally. I don't vibe with the concept as a whole. That being said, I love Peggle, so I've sunk quite a bit of time into Peglin, as a puzzle game that I just want to pick up and play a few rounds of occasionally is the only way the rogue-whatever genre makes any sense to me. It makes the puzzles feel fresh, and my disinterest in "getting good" at games in general doesn't really matter because every run teaches me something new and I get better at it just by playing from time to time.

So when the demo for Rune Dice dropped, I was interested. Played a few runs (much shorter than Peglin) and liked that it was similar enough, yet different. I'm visiting my bestie this weekend (she's about 2 hours away) and we usually just snack and watch horror movies for 12 hours straight, so this'll be perfect to just play on my Deck if I feel like multitasking.

I'm winding down the school year and everything right now is just tedious paperwork, documenting, auditing my caseload, etc., so having this up on my PC to just roll some dice in between tasks has actually helped with my inability to focus on this part of the job that I despise.
