Still Mad That This Game Is Gone, and I Always Will Be *

I played this game to review it for a website, fully expecting not to be impressed with a Spider-Man endless runner concept. I was WRONG. The game design was a kind of comic book animation that felt perfect for this character, the controls were responsive and fluid, and the costumes.

Dear god, the COSTUMES.

SO MANY SKINS! Variations of Spidey, and his variants, and his allies, and his ENEMIES, and I wanted to collect all 200+ of them!

I also didn't feel like this mobile game was trying to gobble up excessive amounts of my time and money. Which, as a result, led me to spend because I WANTED TO SUPPORT THIS GAME!

I'm still not thrilled about endless runners in general, but I was surprised at how well this concept ended up fitting for Spider-Man. There was a web swinging mechanic incorporated into the game at times, and combat ended up being surprisingly fun and relevant to the narrative. There were always new events, characters, and other content.

This game shut down in March 2019. I really miss it, and am still bummed that I can't play it anymore. I've Wishlisted it because I WANT IT BACK! :P
