I love all tales series.
I remember playing this 10 years ago :D
The only problems i had with this one, it require both playthrough as jude and mills to fill all the gap of the stories and that is very time consuming.

So i finish jude, and watch milla one in youtube lol

So I'm playing on hard difficulty and this game is actually pretty tough. I got destroyed multiple times by an early game boss and had to actually go back and prepare, and change my skills out, which I rarely need to do in jrpgs. And the regular battles require a pretty serious focus to get through effectively. This combat system seems pretty complex even this early. I feel like Zesteria was a lot simpler at this point. Im happy about all that, it's keeping me very engaged in the combat sections.

As for the story, I like it, I'm definitely enjoying it. But at 7+ hours in, it hasn't really hooked me yet. Most of the Tales games I've played (minus Vesperia) have pretty clear goals and motivations for their characters at this point. In Xillia though, the protagonist Jude is currently just kind of along for the ride, drifting. The other two characters do have goals, but are keeping them kind of secret and it hasn't yet shown off that much of the world. I'm not complaining though, it's been a throughly pleasant experience so far and I know I'm still very early in the game.

It feels good to be back in a Tales game. The remaster is nice, it looks very similar to Zesteria and Berseria, but much crisper and cleaner, and some of the backgrounds are gorgeous. Main guy Jude isn't exactly what I was hoping he'd be but he works well as the typical in over his head newbie. Milla, the main …

Main guy Jude isn't exactly what I was hoping he'd be but he works well as the typical in over his head newbie. Milla, the main girl, though, is very interesting. A type of character I'm not sure I've seen in a jrpg before (though her personality is pretty recognizable, and fun). Combat is much more fun than the really old games like Vesperia and Symphonia. The new Link system is adding a lot of strategy and on hard mode I really have to be careful about everyone's HP even in normal battles. I really like the sphere-grid style level up too and its pretty different than any version of that I've seen before.

Happy Xillia Day! Happy Halloween!

My copy just arrived! I'm so excited--I love this game so much.

I also got to log off of work early today, so I have some time to play before I go hand out candy with my parents.
