FNAF 3 is a really huge downgrade, but it tries new things, some work and some don’t. The jump scares are no longer scary. The atmosphere is still horrifying, the simple lore elements heavily support that. Sadly the gameplay doesn’t support it. However, these small mini games each night or the secret mini games really keep the player invested. Sadly no custom night but there is a cool extra night and an extra menu with cool little additions. It might have issues but it’s still a good scary time, with lore exploring and surviving the inevitable.
Keeping this one short, but this is the least scary FNAF game for me. Having only Springtrap as an antagonist was an alright move story-wise, but gameplay-wise it just means I found this a little too easy, especially once you work out that the Phantom animatronics can't harm you. The Phantoms just get annoying after a while, particularly because they can trigger one after the other, which means you're just kind of waiting with mild frustration for them to stop triggering so you can get back to gameplay after the ineffectual screams in your face.
Notable for it being the first physical appearance of William Afton, though, and as always I liked the additions to the lore.

Five Nights at Freddy's 3 does do a lot right. I think it's very cool that the animatronics are simply visions and can't kill you, but will handicap you as one of them will kill you, that being Springtrap. I like the lore it provides. Revealing that the "Purple Guy" is Springtrap via minigames is very cool.
I like the idea that you gotta manage your devices while basically playing Where's Waldo with Springtrap. However, the game gets really boring. It's too easy and you really only play it for the minigames.
Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is a fun game at first but becomes harder to play as it goes along
