My first racing game since Need for Speed Heat, and first Forza game ever. Absolutely addicting, and I haven't been a racing game fan since Heat. Feels great to love racing again. I grew up on old arcade style racing like Cruisin USA, Ridge Racer, etc. I like how I can make Forza Horizon feel arcadey instead of all sim. I don't mess with any of the tuning stuff (not a hardcore car guy), so the default balance of vehicles feels great to me.

The map, radio stations, visuals/performance and Average difficulty settings are all great. I feel like if I cranked up the difficulty I'd get destroyed by AI, no matter how smooth I drive. Racing games on higher difficulties are pretty insane; kind of like Mario Kart AI, lol.

Can't recommend this game enough, whether you're a hardcore racer or not a real world racing fan at all. The game is just so fun to play. Sort of brings me back to Metropolis Street Racer (Dreamcast) and Project Gotham Racing on Xbox, except the open world. What a complete blast.

And racing against a friggin giant mech? Come on!!!
