Beat the demo playtest. I had to lower my desktop resolution to make the game show the entire screen, and there was no option to change resolution in the game. I chose the doctor, engineer, wrench and fuel for 1st run, which ended in everyone dying. 2nd run after understanding the mechanics better I chose doctor, cook, wrench and defibrillator, which was the most valuable item to buy and returned a person to 1hp from 0. This run went as far as the demo allowed but I did not like this game. It was nothing like Fallout shelter, rather more like a glorified slot machine. You pulled a lever each day then watched the events rotate until you got one. Some were good, some bad, some neutral, and some had choices. Some had a mini game where you match the abilities of your people to remove obstacles from a line, then it would randomly choose a spot to land on. If the spot was empty you got a good result. Mis matching abilities seemed to cause hp damage. The cook converted power into food every day so I bought fuel over food for more long term food. The opportunist was the only other person I seen that had a 100% special ability. Everyone else had % chance, like doctor had 50% chance to convert 1 power into 1hp for the next person, but they could not heal themselves. Why is there so much RNG? Near the end I had a sailor join whose ability was chance to hurt others, then bandits raided the place and took all my food with seemingly no way to counter it. On the plus side sailor guy died of starvation. On 1st run a bomber came in and killed 2 people because I refused to give money. Why even have a vault door if you are going to open it for everyone including hostiles?

While the game is an interesting concept the core game mechanics irk me. I enjoy consistent cause and effect, not gambling nonsense.
