This time, the terror has followed you home. In this last chapter of the Five Nights at Freddy's original story, you must once again defend yourself against Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy, and even worse things that lurk in the shadows. Playing as a child whose role is yet unknown, you must safeguard yourself until 6am by watching the doors, as well as warding off unwanted creatures that may venture into your closet or onto the bed behind you. It breaks the mold.

This game had the best designs out of all 3 of the previous games. The design of the animatronics are really well done and it looks like they had a lot more effort put into making the models more than anything else in the game. But the problem is that this game is also lore-based and has fewer characters and content and focuses more on the story than the gameplay.

Well, I have single-sided deafness, so this turned out to be unplayable for me. Apparently, no one thought about that while making this? So I had to give up and settle for watching a playthrough on YouTube.

The lore is mostly what I appreciate with this franchise, and the additions here were pretty scant.

Five Nights at Freddy's 4 is one of my favorites in the whole series. The fact that there are zero cameras this time You use your ears to detect sounds. If you hear breathing you close the doors. It is so fun. I love the lore in between each night.

Unlike the other games, this is not as overwhelming. Each game tries to surpass the last but this one goes back. Just four animatronics (2 later on). There's even a Halloween Update which is a simple reskin.

The only issue is that it eventually becomes very similar to the others. But it is a very unique experience in the series.
