I don't know anything about this anime, but the cover art was cute so I gave this game a go. It's an action platformer where you swing a katana. If you hold the action button you create a ring shield, which you can either use to protect yourself from projectiles, or launch the ring forward at enemies (it can boomerang back to you). I kind of liked the way this game controlled, and the graphics looked pretty nice too. But now for the bad news... DAMN this game is ridiculously tough. And not only is it difficult, but on top of that there's a strict timer for every stage. You can not take your time with enemies, and unless you have a death wish you can not go exploring. Not a fan of the level design in general though, which involves very precise platforming, leaps of faith, and merciless waves of enemies around pits.
