I have to say, the gameplay systems of this multiplayer-only game are amazing and perfectly balanced. You not only win by killing the Queen (Military Victory), you can also win by collecting berries (economic victory) or riding a very slow snail to the goal (snail victory, duh!). The way you and your team have to strategize around these three systems is fun and engaging as hell.
Sadly, I didn't enjoy the game a lot. There's not a lot of people playing it with audio so, if you play with strangers, you kinda has yo 'guess' what strategy to follow. I also suffered a lot of lag, disconnections and long queues to play.
There's not a single-player campaign and the progression gives you no rewards. The stages are cool, but there's just a few of them.
I think @bmo is playing this too. I hope he's enjoying this more and can give you a more positive review. I've already abandoned this one.
The online play has been turned off due to some Amazon shenanigans. I wish I’d know that in advance, as I bought this years ago and just never got around to checking it out until today.
You can still do local multiplayer but you need at least four (if not six or eight) for the game to really work at all. You can do two, but it’s barely the same game at that point. There’s no computer players to fill out the ranks as far as I could tell.
For single player, there’s a tutorial. That’s it. The last round of the tutorial is a full game with all computer players so theoretically you could just play that over and over.
Not much of a game at this point. What a shame.
This is 2 bucks on the eShop right now and i got that in Nintenbucks so baby you are bought
Just played the tutorial (Switch) and noticed a very annoying input lag.
Does anyone else noticed it? Is this the same on other platforms?
I was at EB Games today picking up my copy of Killer Queen Black, and the guy in front of me was picking up his Modern Warfare pre-order. The edition he bought came with night-vision goggles. They apparently work. We live in a weird time.
