Central Limit Theorem

1.671.67 average user rating based on 3 reviews
encompasses 0 releases

A survival shooter where you have to protect your core for as long as you can from the shapes attacking it. It's a quick, simple, stressful, high-score shooter designed to be played between other, more substantial games. Each enemy starts with a unique behaviour (they can shoot, weave, or orbit) and they each leave a different coloured ink on the playfield. When another enemy crosses this ink later it will learn the behaviours of those that went before! The more ink, the more difficult the game becomes!

Eh, I don't know. There was nothing here that grabbed me, you're just a stationary circle in the middle of a screen that can shoot at stuff. There's a gimmick that makes the enemies "learn" from previous enemies's deaths, but I don't think it was that successful, since it didn't really change the gameplay in any fundamental way and it's mostly not within your control.

Plus the controls weren't great. I don't know if it's a standard thing for this type of game, but the "right to go clockwise; left to go counterclockwise" type of control scheme has always been difficult for me, since often you have to push left to go right, and vice versa. Never been able to wrap my head around it, and this was no exception.
