I don't think I understood this game. You're supposed to explore space and scan planets to determine if they're habitable by looking at things like temperature and air composition, and see if they're similar enough to Earth for people to live there. You're given the composition of Earth's atmosphere to compare to, but since it's been more than a decade since I took a chemistry class and I don't know much about the science of air composition, I had no idea what counts as "similar enough" or which gases might be dangerous for human life. The game doesn't give you any way of finding out either, so you'd either need to know all about it already or go watch a few lectures on youtube and come back.

Sometimes I'd receive alien transmissions that talked of death or planetary conflict, but I didn't really know how or where to follow up on those (or if I was even supposed to do anything about them at all).

I dunno. I think I just didn't get it.
