Well, the game is quite short. There are some features that can extend your game play by justifying a second run, but it’s really not compelling enough to do from my perspective.

It’s also a rudimentary brawler, with very limited mechanics. There are about five or six enemy types, very little variation and you can punch, jump and throw a charge ball. Don’t expect any real complexity or challenge.

Space Jam: A New Legacy - The Game feels like something that should be a freebie, a cross media marketing tool to sell the film. That’s what it ostensibly is, ostensibly because it’s only free on one platform, and only if you subscribe.

I can’t really recommend the game for any reason other than curiosity. If you want to witness a throwback to good-old movie tie-ins from the 90s, I guess this is one way to do it.

Space Jam: A New Legacy - The Game is a very, very simple beat 'em up that doesn't offer something new and if it weren't for the fact that it's free, it wouldn't be worth.

I’m always a bit leery about games made from the ground up by a studio that exclusively does retro ports to contemporary systems. I have no doubt Digital Eclipse has buckets full of talent, but do they have what it take to make an original game?
